This week, Frias Properties staff photographer Kevin Burton continues his blog series called “Behind the Lens,” detailing recently photographed units managed by Frias Properties. Over the last few weeks, I’ve been very busy catching up on photography for the website. Between current owners making improvements to existing inventory, plus adding new inventory, it keeps me hopping. Kevin’s notes: Much improved, yet still affordable, unit. Everything is new and fresh. Very contemporary feel. Excellent location for summer or winter. Easy (walking) access to historic Lift 1A, the Silver Queen Gondola and downtown. You can walk everywhere! This condominium is priced right (value!) and would be great for a young family with slightly older children (age 8+) that wouldn’t mind sleeping alone on the lower level. The upper level master is open and roomy, and has a great window with blinds that can open or close electronically. Kitchen has stainless appliances and a dishwasher, so it’s great for cooking and entertaining.

Chateau Roaring Fork #31 – NEW INVENTORY! Near the river! Comfortable with plenty of space, this 2-bedroom, 2-bath standard condominium is only four blocks from the gondola and is even closer to downtown Aspen. Enjoy the sounds of the nearby Roaring Fork River. The free local bus route, with access to all four ski mountains, is located right outside. Kevin’s notes: Another great place for a family, as it has two twins in the guest bedroom. If you enjoy the river, this is your place. Located near the majestic Roaring Fork River, this unit offers easy access to many of the excellent hiking and biking trails nearby. Perfect location – close to everything but allows for peace, quiet and serenity. The stone fireplace in the living area would be great to gather around after a long day of outdoor adventure, and there’s even a large flat screen TV in the living area to help you unwind. This unit is great in the summer, but also affordable in the winter! The free bus right outside makes it easy to get anywhere, including all four ski mountains – Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highland, Buttermilk and Snowmass. Also, consider Chateau Roaring Fork for your group or family gathering, as it has its own 1,100-square-foot conference room with a heated pool, hot tubs and fitness center.

Enjoy an on-site heated pool and hot tub, plus an on-site fitness center. This unit overlooks the pool! Guests also enjoy the convenience of on-site front desk services and a full range of concierge services. And you can walk everywhere! Bedding is queen (master) and two twins in both guest bedrooms, so this townhouse would be great for a larger family or a group of singles!
If you’re looking for an affordable location in a great part of town – with all of the amenities that you’d expect at a resort – then booking at the Galena Street Neighborhood may be the answer. The Galena Street Neighborhood consists of a number of condominium complexes – including the Fasching Haus, Fifth Avenue, Durant Condominiums, Dolomite Villas, Mountain Queen and Silver Shadown.
