Behind the Lens – Chateau Dumont 15

Published by at under Frias News

This week, Frias Properties staff photographer Kevin Burton begins a blog series called “Behind the Lens,” detailing recently photographed units managed by Frias. In this installment, Kevin focuses on Chateau Dumont #15, an excellent top-floor, 2-bedroom, 2-bath unit located only one block from the Silver Queen Gondola.

Earlier this week, I had the opportunity to visit (and photograph) an excellent top-floor vacation rental managed by Frias Properties: Chateau Dumont #15. Located at 925 E. Durant Avenue, this 2-bedroom, 2-bath standard unit offers amazing views of Aspen Mountain and the Silver Queen Gondola from the living area, master bedroom and deck. Large windows and skylights throughout also provide optimum natural light for this south-facing unit.

The open, comfortable living area is highlighted by a wood-burning fireplace. After a long day on the slopes, guests can warm up by the fire while watching the sun set over Aspen Mountain. And, in the mornings, guests can wake up and view all the mountain activity from their master bedroom. This unit is perfect for a family with young children, as the second bedroom comes complete with two twin beds and its own bathroom with a tub and shower.

The greatest benefit of staying at any Chateau Dumont, however, may be the location. Situated only one block from the Silver Queen Gondola, guests can easily walk to the lift in their ski boots. Staying here, it wouldn’t be hard to be the first one on the mountain on a fresh powder day! Location also makes it easy to ski down, take a quick lunch break, and get back up on the mountain quickly. Chateau Dumont also has its own private courtyard with views, making après-ski a delight.

Guests who book at Chateau Dumont #15 also benefit from free Aspen airport transfers, a free on-site underground parking garage, wireless internet access, flatscreen TVs, a washer/dryer, dishwasher, and complimentary passes to the Aspen Club & Spa. Sound like a complete package? It is!
