What’s the best way to purchase a skiing or snowboarding lift ticket for an Aspen vacation? How do you get the best deal? When our staff is busy helping folks make vacation reservations, we get this question a lot. Aspen/Snowmass consists of four spectacular skiing mountains – Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk and Snowmass – with a wide variety of terrain for all skill levels.

There are several different approaches to buying a lift ticket, so we asked our vacation specialists to help out. Below, we take a closer look at how to get you the best lift ticket deal.

RULE #1: Buying in Advance. Purchasing your lift ticket ahead of time is always the best policy. If you’re planning on a skiing getaway, be sure to secure you lift tickets far in advance. This will assure you get the best rate, and have your ticket ready when you get to Aspen. Nobody wants to lose valuable on-mountain time! In any instance, remember: Buy in advance.

For the 2013-14 season, skiers and boarders can enjoy all four mountains on one lift ticket when you purchase at least 7 days in advance.

By purchasing your lift tickets 7 days in advance, you also save:

  • $10/day on adult lift tickets
  • $14/day on ski rental packages
  • $50/day on full-day private lessons
  • Or enjoy a $20 lunchtime discount on food and beverages (Receive a one-time $20 on-mountain dining discount – valid at Aspen Skiing Company on-mountain restaurants – with the purchase of any adult or senior advance purchase lift ticket of 6 days or more. Offer valid on minimum 2-day lift ticket all season with the exception of Dec. 21-Jan. 4 when offer is valid on minimum 4-day lift ticket.)
