How can Aspen be more special than it already is? Pour in the holiday cheer and the area becomes even more fun than it is the rest of the year. Now, this year, the Chamber of Commerce has compiled a wonderful calendar of the 12 Days of Christmas. This jam packed event calendar covers December 20-31, 2009. There are loads and load of things to do with the little ones including visits with Santa, meeting the reindeer, story hours, dog parties and much more. But we have culled all this activity down to a Top 10 List for all that spans the period and encourage you to not miss a single one.

#10 – Noel Nights – At Aspen Highlands Village on 12/20, 12.23, 12/27 & 12/30   But if you want to hang with Santa you better come the 1st two nights

#9 - Irving Berlin’s White Christmas, The Musical on 12/20-12/24 at the          Wheeler Opera House

#8 – Hyman Avenue Mall Nights – Free Live Music 12/22, 12/23, 12/29, 12/30 – Free live music for everyone from 3-5pm

#7 – Aspen Sojourner Magazine Holiday Artwalk – 12/22 Grab a map at the Chamber Kiosk and make an evening of enjoying art at over 20 galleries!

#6 – Bonfire and Caroling at corner of Cooper and Galena Sts. 12/23 & 12/24 starting at 3:30 pm

#5 – Wheeler Opera House – a variety of performances 12/26, 12/27, 12/28, 12/30 and 12/31 – attending anything here is worth the price of admission

#4 – Free Ice Skating – Silver Circle Skating Rink – 12/20, 12/30 & 12/31

#3 – Free Carriage & Sleigh Rides – 12/25, 12/26

#2 – Fireworks Over Aspen – 12/31 at 8pm and Midnight

#1 – 19th Annual Aspen Academy Screenings 12/23-1/2 shows 19 of the season’s most prominent films at the Wheeler Opera House
