Shellie Roy, who most recently served as Pitkin County Commissioner (1996-2004) has been an active community participant and personality since her arrival in 1975 as a ski bunny college grad trying to figure out what to be when she grew up.
This parent of a future rock star (age 15) and biology major (age 21) believes Aspen is a place like no other to raise a family or to just enjoy life to the fullest. Shellies has thorough and comprehensive knowledge of the Countys intricate and complicated regulations and land use policies. Her reputation of pragmatic approaches to problem solving has resulted in public successes that include the improvements at the County Airport, paving Owl Creek Road, acquiring Open Space and keeping Grassroots TV and the Historical Society operational.
I cut my teeth in the Real Estate industry as a Loan Processor, Head Escrow Officer and Real Estate Assistant. Working as a Broker ties together all my work and public service experience with my love for helping people and solving their problems.
Shellies passions are gardening, biking and skiing and learning to golf. Shellie continues to be a participant in State legislation and will testify for the second time this spring before the State Senate.
