This is the 2nd year we have stayed at this hotel, and once again, it didn't disappoint. You cannot beat the location - right in the middle of everything and close to where we needed to be for the MotherLode Volleyball Tournament. Last year we were able to check in at the hotel, and our keys were left in the box outside since we got in late. This year we had to check in at the Frias location, which was a bit of a hassle since we were in a cab coming from the airport with a 3 year old, but that's the only complaint.

First the bad: The property itself is in the Independence Square Hotel but the check-in is two blocks away. There is no long term parking within a good half a block in any direction from the hotel entrance. So first you have to find Frias property manager's location, then get back in your car with your registration packet and park illegally in a no-parking zone to unload your luggage and get checked in to the hotel. Leave your emergency flashers on and you won't be hassled. Then once you dump off your luggage in your room, you have to move your car to a location about a block away where your parking permit is valid. That's the bad.

Now here's the good: You can't beat this location if you are a skier or happen to be in aspen for a local event at Wagner Park. The walking mall for shopping is only a few steps from the hotel entrance. You won't need your car to get around because the property is so centrally located. The hotel's extended continental breakfast offers quality food and a great selection. The coffee was high quality. Room comfort in my room was excellent. Pillow-top mattress and huge bed. Great tub and shower. There was no view whatsoever from my room. A cinder block wall greets your view from the windows.

Great location! Clean, nice, large, good free breakfast. Very comfortable bed.
