Children of all ages will find a number of activities to keep busy in Aspen during summer break - everything from camps for all ages to “run-and-gun” paintball for teens. This week, our blog team takes a closer look at activities for kids in Aspen for Summer 2014.

While there are plenty of family-friendly Summer activities in Aspen, we will focus primarily on children’s activities this week. Now, let’s take a closer look at what might interest your children:

Aspen Mountain Kids Activities - Plenty of free activities at the top of the Silver Queen Gondola. Free activities from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily. For more info, call 970-923-1227.

Climbing Wall and Eurobungy - Let your child experience the thrill of extreme sports in a controlled environment at the Eurobungy trampoline and climbing wall at both Aspen Mountain and Snowmass Mountain. Located at the top of the Silver Queen Gondola in Aspen, the Eurobungy trampoline and climbing wall are open daily from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. At Snowmass, the climbing wall at the top of the Elk Camp Gondola is open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The Eurobungy trampoline is located at Snowmass Base Village, and is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Camp Aspen/Snowmass - Summer camp, anyone? Children ages 1 through the teen years will enjoy this fun, dynamic camp that offers both daily and multi-day programs. Enjoy everything that the amazing Rocky Mountains has to offer. Experience the outdoors like no other! Open Monday through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Camp has drop-off locations in both Aspen and Snowmass.) Purchase the Kids Camp Pass with a low validation rate for each day of camp. Plus, get free summer lift access on the Elk Camp Gondola and chairlift at Snowmass - and the Silver Queen Gondola in downtown Aspen. Guided Summer Adventures - Aspen/Snowmass offers families or groups to custom build their own Aspen adventure! Choose from options like mountain biking, fishing and even camping. Rocky Mountain Kids Fishing Clinic - Ages 6 through teens will enjoy a private fishing excursion at a private fishing pond, all under the watchful eye of a professional. Private groups and public times available. Fishing for more info? Call 970-923-1227.

Kids Rocket Camp - Children ages 4-10 will build, design and study the art of rocketry at Kids Rocket Camp. Camp includes a rocket, snacks and spectacular launch where guests are welcome. Reach for the stars! Shoot for the moon! Call 970-923-1227 to lift off.

Mountainboarding & Skateboarding - Expert guides and coaches work with children ages 6 through teens to improve their performance and results on the boards. Ride like a pro! Private lessons also available. Riders: Be sure to check out the Aspen skate park (pads and helmet required). The skate park features a clover bowl; a pool structure with round side bowls; and a square, 9-foot-deep vertical bowl. Snowmass welcomes boarders on the Elk Camp Work Road. Run & Gun Paintball - Ages 10 to adult. Get ready for a little recreational warfare! Experience paintball like you never have before, amid the beauty and rugged terrain of the Rocky Mountains.
