Our blog continues a multi-part series on the towns and neighborhoods of Aspen and the Roaring Fork Valley. In this edition, we take a closer look at the Galena Street Neighborhood.
GALENA STREET NEIGHBORHOOD: An area known for its close proximity to downtown and Aspen Mountain, as well as for its quality of lodging. Some residences in the Galena Street Neighborhood offer ski-in, ski-out access to the Silver Queen Gondola as well as historic Lift 1A. Most lodging in this area consists of 2-5 bedroom units with mountain and town views. Although near the core, the Galena Street Neighborhood offers flexibility and amenities such as heated pools and hot tubs, a workout center and either on-site or in-house laundry.
The Galena Street Neighborhood is perfect for families or larger groups, who want to walk to downtown, ski Aspen Mountain, and enjoy all that this town has to offer, including shopping, restaurants and nightlife. Families rave about our lodging accommodations at showcase complexes such as the Fasching Haus, the Alpenblick, the Durant Condominiums, the Dolomite Villas, and at Fifth Avenue. Frias also offers ski-in, ski-out access at Shadow Mountain units. Check back soon, when our multi-part blog series continues with a closer look at East Aspen.
