Home transformations -- big or small -- can have a huge impact. One of the most stunning renovations in our rental pool over the past couple years was recently completed and has yielded great results for both the owner and the renters. Aspen vacation rentals run the gamut from old-school mountain rustic to chic and modern. Depending on what a renter is looking for, we likely have it. From cozy, cabin-in-the-woods feel, to large, bright and modern, our homes all have a unique personality. Each of these, and everything in between, can provide a great vacation experience. But regardless the style, outdated isn't ideal for anyone. Which is why the owners of the two-bedroom condo at Fasching Haus 390 went all out when they did their remodel.
"Ultimately, an owner should want to remodel to gain some personal enjoyment out of the newly redone space, but they can certainly expect to see increased revenue and less worry about older fixtures breaking, which leads to less maintenance calls," says Ben Wolff, one of our experienced property managers. "If they replace windows and doors, they can expect lower utility costs as well."
"The two biggies an owner can see as far as renovation benefits are increased revenue and increased property value," adds Cameron Murray, our other highly experienced property manager. "Outside of personal taste, which can't be discounted, those are the two driving factors in any remodel I see."
But it's not just the owners that benefit from remodels. Vacations are supposed to be relaxing, easy and provide all the comforts of home... if not more.
"Top of the line appliances, TVs, sound systems, comfortable beds, fresh bathrooms and an overall inviting space to relax in are all benefits to renters of a renovated property," states Ben. "When guests are choosing a unit to rent, they usually look at the pictures first."
