A longstanding tradition that is part of Aspen's Fourth of July celebration, the Boogie's Buddy Race is a 5 mile USA Track & Field-certified competitive race and a 1 mile Family & Canine run/walk. New this year, participants can sign up for a 5K distance. There is also a virtual participation option.
More than 1,000 locals and visitors participate, along with hundreds of supporters, to kick off the Fourth of July on a heathful, community-focused note.

The Buddy Program has been serving Aspen's youth for 46 years through its mentoring programs. What started as a small, grassroots effort in 1973 to match kids with adults in mentoring relationships, has become one of the largest youth-serving organizations in the Roaring Fork Valley.
