Aspen Parkrun – Free Weekly 5K Runs at Herron Park Every Saturday
The city of Aspen recreation department is excited to announce the return of the Aspen parkrun series, starting May 3. Parkrun is a free, weekly 5k event where participants are welcome to walk, jog, run, volunteer, or spectate. This year, the community run series will feature a new course that starts and ends at Herron Park in downtown Aspen and follows an out-and-back route on the Rio Grande Trail. After the race, Swedish Hill bakery from the Aspen Art Museum will provide free drip coffee and a 10% discount on pastries for all park runners. Dogs are welcome on the course but must remain leashed. Registration: First-time participants must register at parkrun.us/aspen to receive their unique barcode. To learn more, click here.
