The Snow League, the world’s first professional league dedicated to snowboarding and freeskiing, returns to Buttermilk Mountain on February 27–28, 2026. Founded by three-time Olympic gold medalist Shaun White, this inaugural season event takes place just days after the conclusion of the 2026 Winter Olympics, bringing the world's top medalists straight to Aspen Snowmass.
Event Highlights Include:
- The Best vs. The Best: A field of 36 elite athletes (20 men and 16 women) competing in the halfpipe for a massive $2.2 million season prize purse.
- Innovative Head-to-Head Format: Unlike traditional competitions, Finals Day features a high-stakes, knockout-style bracket where athletes go 1-on-1 to advance.
- Technical Mastery: New rules require athletes to "switch" their approach by dropping in on both walls of the halfpipe in their first two runs, pushing the boundaries of creativity.
- Free Fan Access: Fans with a valid Aspen Snowmass lift ticket or season pass receive complimentary general admission to watch the action at the base of the Buttermilk pipe.
- Festival Atmosphere: Beyond the halfpipe, expect the "Snowsphere" to feature athlete appearances, musical performances, and interactive fan zones.
