This week, Frias Properties staff photographer Kevin Burton continues his blog series called “Behind the Lens,” detailing recently photographed units managed by Frias Properties. In this installment, Kevin focuses on Dolomite Villas Unit #2, a three-level townhome in the Galena Street Neighborhood.

This week, I had the opportunity to visit Dolomite Villas Unit #2, a 4-bedroom, 3-bath deluxe townhouse located in the Galena Street Neighborhood. Located at the front of the complex, the first thing you’ll notice about this townhome is the convenient parking located directly in front of the ground-floor entry. It doesn't  matter if you use the complimentary Aspen airport transfers or if you drive yourself. Either way, you won’t be walking far.

Dolomite Villas complex is located within walking distance to Aspen’s historic Lift 1A (one block away), all of downtown Aspen’s shops and entertainment (2 blocks away), and the Silver Queen Gondola and Aspen Mountain (3 blocks away). The Rubey Park bus station is just two blocks away as well. It offers free transportation to all the area mountains: Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk and Snowmass.

Walking in the front door of Dolomite Villas Unit #2 leads guests into an open entry and mud area, with plenty of storage for skis and snowboards. There are two bedrooms located on the ground level, with two twin beds and cable TV in each room. There’s also a laundry closet (washer and dryer) conveniently located on the first floor, making laundry duties a snap. The downstairs bathroom features a steam shower and jetted tub that can fit multiple people. 

Heading up to the main floor, guests are greeted with an open floor plan and plenty of light at the top of the stairs. The stairs pour into the main living area, which includes the living area, dining area, kitchen and breakfast bar. Plush wood grains and natural light prevail in this floor plan, highlighted by high-end finishes and rich leather sofas. There’s a formal dining area for eight people, a gas fireplace, flat screen TV, a deck with views of downtown, and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen. There’s plenty of room for guests to cook in the kitchen, share a meal together or relax in comfort after a long day of adventure.

The top floor of the unit is where the master bedroom is located. The master bedroom has a King-size bed, an en suite bathroom, and a sitting area with a gas fireplace. The sitting area, located directly off the master bedroom, has its own deck with patio furniture and residential views. This unit is great for a family or singles. With the convenience of twin beds, guests have the flexibility of turning two twins into a king. (Ask your reservations specialist about converting twins to kings before your arrival to make sure your bedding is all set when you arrive.)
