Aspen offers a wide variety of lodging options, some that are affordable to many and others that are exclusive to those with a little more money in their bank account … or a lot more. Aspen’s known as a first-class destination for summer and winter adventure, and a renowned reputation for being ultra-luxury. While that is true, there is an affordable side to lodging in Aspen. This week our blog team takes a closer look at Aspen accommodations - from the affordable to the outrageous.

AFFORDABLE We won’t make you have a heart attack just yet - so let’s begin with the affordable side. Let’s be honest: This is where most of us fit in. We’re the Average Joe or Jane Vacationer, and we want value for our vacation dollar. And frankly, we’re not coming to Aspen to sit in a hotel room.   We’re coming to play! So, when it comes to lodging in Aspen, we want value, options and flexibility. And the more options and the more value, the better! Let’s take a closer look at four affordable lodging options. All of them are close to all of downtown Aspen’s shopping, dining and nightlife, as well as Aspen Mountain and the Silver Queen Gondola. No matter the season, these are the best value for your buying dollar.

The Silverglo Condominiums - Located four blocks from downtown, the Silverglo is on the east side of town in a quiet neighborhood. It provides easy access to all that Aspen has to offer. Guests enjoy complimentary ski lockers and a free skier shuttle that runs daily during the ski season. Other amenities include on-site check-in and front desk services, free Wi-Fi, a sauna, and a pool that’s kept a Jacuzzi temperatures during the winter! Condominiums range from 1-5 bedrooms and are rated from economy, standard and deluxe.

The Chateau Chaumont - The Chateau Chaumont is located in downtown Aspen and only one block from Aspen Mountain and the Silver Queen Gondola. It’s an ideal location; enjoy front-row views of Aspen Mountain! Amenities include an on-site hot tub, fireplaces, free Wi-Fi and free parking (limited underground garage parking available). Condominiums are 2 bedrooms and rated standard or deluxe.

The Chateau Eau Claire - The Chateau Eau Claire rests right on the Roaring Fork River. These condominiums are spacious, relaxing and only 5 blocks from the gondola and even closer to downtown Aspen. It’s also on the free bus line, which picks up right outside the complex. Amenities include an on-site hot tub, fireplaces, free Wi-Fi and free parking. Chateau Eau Claire guests are also allowed access the the Chateau Roaring Fork facilities right across the street. (It has a workout room, sauna, a heated outdoor pool and hot tubs!) Rentals are 2-3 bedrooms and rated standard or deluxe.

The Independence Square - “The Indy” is a historic landmark lodge in downtown Aspen that offers modern-day convenience only one block from Aspen Mountain and the gondola. The Independence Square Hotel offers lodge rooms, similar in size to today’s hotels. Amenities include on-site check-in and front desk services, a business center, common area, and a rooftop sundeck with a hot tub. The views from the rooftop deck are amazing! If you want to be in the middle of it all, “The Indy” is the place for you!

OUTRAGEOUS You only live once, right? YOLO! For those of us who can afford the best of the best, Aspen is the place to be. It’s world-renown restaurants, shopping and nightlife are legendary! For more than half a century, Aspen has been a popular destination for those looking for the ultimate experience - and are willing to pay for it. As you can imagine, things can get pretty crazy in Aspen when it comes to lodging prices. Private homes in exclusive areas like Top of Mill or Starwood can run up into the high five figures … per night. During peak times like Christmas and New Years’ Eve, this tiny mountain town is flooded with guests, pushing the market value up and up and up!

Luxury Brands - For those looking for the best condominiums that Aspen has to offer, many prefer familiar luxury vacation properties like The Hyatt Grand, The St. Regis, and the Ritz-Carlton Club at Aspen Highlands. Many affluent guests also enjoy The Residences at The Little Nell, located at the base of Aspen Mountain. All of these brands offer five-star luxury services and amenities from top to bottom. These condominiums are all rated luxury and range from studios to 4 bedrooms.

Private Homes - Private homes are in the most demand by those who can afford it. They offer privacy and room to move … and relax. Private homes like 101 Park Avenue or 330 W. Bleeker offer luxury accommodations with convenience and privacy all mixed into one. These homes feature hardwood floors, high-end appliances and furnishings, and vaulted ceilings.
