Position Overview:
The Maintenance Technician plays a pivotal role in maintaining and preserving the properties managed by Frias Properties of Aspen Snowmass. This position involves executing a range of repairs, maintenance, and upkeep tasks to ensure properties are safe, operational, and visually appealing for residents and guests.

This position will service our Snowmass Village properties: Chamonix, The Enclave, and Owl Creek Homes.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify maintenance requirements, safety hazards, and repair needs.
  2. Execute maintenance and repair duties encompassing plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and appliance upkeep.
  3. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and property management, addressing issues efficiently.
  4. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repair logs, and inventory management.
  5. Ensure adherence to safety regulations and industry standards during maintenance and repair operations.
  6. Assist in preparing vacant units for new occupants, including cleaning, repairs, and aesthetic enhancements.
  7. Collaborate with property management team members and external contractors to coordinate maintenance projects.
  8. Participate in emergency on-call rotation and attend to after-hours maintenance emergencies as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in a relevant field preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in property maintenance, building upkeep, or a related domain.
  • Proficiency in various trades such as plumbing, electrical work, HVAC systems, carpentry, and painting.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues, executing repairs effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for professional interaction with residents, colleagues, and vendors.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to quality workmanship and safety.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Flexibility to work occasional weekends.

Physical Requirements:

  • Capability to lift and transport heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Endurance and agility to operate in diverse weather conditions and environments.
