The Anderson Ranch Arts Center celebrates art in all its form. With workshops covering such topics as sculpture, ceramics, painting, and more as well as artists-in-residence programs and gallery exhibits, Anderson Ranch is an ambitious proponent for art. Located on Owl Creek Road between Aspen and Snowmass, Anderson Ranch links the two communities as well as its artists. Various art shows and events as well as one-day classes provide an opportunity for visiting art lovers and artists to get their fix.
The Anderson Ranch Summer Series showcases the world of contemportary art in a fun, relaxed setting in the Schermer Meeting Hall on the Anderson Ranch Campus in Snowmass. The sessions are open to the public and focus on a broader understanding of art and artmaking in the contemportary art community. There are a number of presentations throughout the summer, including panel discussions, lectures, conversations and Q&A sessions. Past participants have included Nick Cave, Steve McQueen, Anne Pasternak and Catherine Opie.
COVID 19 UPDATE: During summer 2020, Anderson Ranch is hosting Virtual Workshops, Virtual Art Salons, and the Un-Gala -- a unique experience that replaces their annual fundraiser. For more information, visit AndersonRanch.org.
