Anne Burrows, a professional real estate broker with Frias Properties of Aspen, creates a Dining Guide every year for her clients, customers and friends. Her 2017 Aspen Area Dining Guide lists what she believes are the top restaurants throughout the Roaring Fork Valley.

Aspen real estate

The following is Anne’s take on 2017 Aspen area restaurants:

New (but not really new) this year is Shlomo’s Deli and Grill located at the base of the Silver Queen Gondola in the Residences at Little Nell. Shlomo has reinvented a restaurant he operated 30 years ago and is now serving breakfast, brunch, lunch, après and dinner at what Shlomo claims are “moderate prices that locals can afford.” A fun concept is Shlomo’s “Gondola Breakfast-To-Go.” Gone from Aspen’s dining scene are Little Annie’s, the Meatball Shack (now Bosq), McKinney’s at the Inn (now Home Team Barbeque) and the Cantina (now Mi Chola).

Menus for Aspen area restaurants can be found online at eataspen.com, eatsnowmass.com, eatbasalt.com and eatcarbondale.com. Be sure to check out these restaurant recommendations from the Frias concierge desk.

TIP: Numerous restaurants offer a bar menu which provides diners a way to save a little money and still enjoy the restaurant’s food and ambiance. Go early to snag a seat at the bar or at a bar table.

The innovative restaurants and high-end real estate in Aspen/Snowmass continue to meet the expectations of its residents and visitors who frequently travel the world and are accustomed to interesting cuisine and fine homes. The down valley towns of Basalt/Willits and Carbondale offer additional restaurants and real estate opportunities, many of which may be more affordable.

Anne Burrows has a decades-long and notable career as a professional real estate broker and is your ideal source for up-to-date information on homes, condominiums and building sites currently for sale. If you are thinking about buying or selling property anywhere in the Roaring Fork Valley, you would be wise to contact Anne. Her mobile number is (970) 379-0776. Her email address is anne@anneburrowsaspen.com.

NOTE: The Square Grouper has since closed. The restaurant scene is rough and tumble in the valley but do not worry, more new and exciting restaurants are sure to pop up any day!
