If you're looking to plan the ultimate golf getaway, then look no further than Aspen, Colorado. Q: We're looking to plan a 3-day golf getaway to Aspen, Colorado. What's the first thing I need to know about golfing in the valley? A: "There are a bunch of courses from Aspen to Glenwood Springs. Some are private and most are open to the public.   ... Also, remember to club up as the ball travels farther in the altitude!"

Q: What are your favorite local courses to play? A: "I like the Aspen public course and the Snowmass Club."

Q: Are there any restrictions on the local courses (membership fees, etc.)? A: "Maroon Creek Club and Roaring Fork Club are the only members- only courses.   All the rest of the courses are open to the public."

Q: What's your favorite course? A: "Snowmass Club."

Q: Why do you like this course the best? A: "The course is very forgiving and has a lot of elevated tee boxes with amazing views."

Q: Favorite hole? A: "The 19th hole."

Q: What size groups should I plan on? A: "We have lodging accommodations for groups of all sizes for a group of four to a 68-group scramble."

Q: What do I need to know about tee times? A: "Our concierge will be able to arrange them for you.   You can just relax and enjoy the fresh mountain air."

Q: Can I get lessons? A: "Yes lessons are available at all of the valley courses."

Q: Is there a Pro Shop? A: "Yes."

Q: Where do you recommend that I get gear/clubs? A: "All of the courses offer get clubs for rent or you can ship your clubs ahead to use and we will have them waiting in the condo for you."

Q: How far in advance should I make my golfing plans? A: "About a week in advance to make sure you get the tee time you want."

Q: How far in advance should I make lodging reservations? A: "Now."

Q: What's the best thing about golfing in the mountains A: "Driving a golf ball at 8,000 feet is a lot of fun!"
