Are you heading to Aspen this ski season? How exciting! When planning an Aspen ski vacation, there are many items to check off the to-do list: flights, lodging, restaurant reservations, equipment rentals, lessons, and more. While that’s all important, perhaps the most essential piece of the puzzle is figuring out how to purchase your lift tickets!
Unlike the old days when you would walk up to the ticket office and purchase your one-day lift ticket, there are now several options for accessing Aspen Snowmass’ four ski areas, and your best bet is buying ahead of time. If this seems overwhelming, don’t worry! We’ll break it all down for you in our Visitor's Guide to Aspen Snowmass Lift Tickets and Ski Passes.
Should I Purchase an Aspen Snowmass Season Pass?

Well, that depends on how long you’re staying! More often than not, season passes aren’t the best choice for visitors to Aspen.
Season passes are not the right choice for visitors unless they are spending the entire ski season in Aspen. If that does happen to be the case, you should consider how many days per week and how many days total you want to ski. If it's more than two days per week or more than 14 days during the season, a Premier Pass is your best bet. (Some locals purchase Alpine Passes, which include one-day or two-day-a-week access as well as discounts to add days.)
Season passes have variable pricing based on when you purchase them. Buy them early for the lowest price, and don’t forget to add insurance!
Are There Multi-Resort Ski Passes?
Yes! We know most skiers don’t want to be limited to just one ski resort. What’s the fun in that?

There are no blackout dates and no residency restrictions, i.e., you don’t have to live in Colorado to purchase one!
Can I Buy Daily Lift Tickets?
Yes, of course! We know that many visitors to Aspen Snowmass won’t be looking to purchase a season pass. If you’re only here for a week or two, that wouldn’t make much sense at all!
A tried-and-true solution for visitors, Aspen Snowmass lift tickets are best for those skiing between one and 12 days. They are easy to purchase, transfer, and use to access all four ski areas. Lift ticket prices are now available for the 2024-25 ski season.
To find savings on your lift tickets, follow these tips:
- Purchase your lift tickets at least 7 days in advance to save on walk-up rates.
- Ski more, save more! Per-day rates are discounted when you buy multiple days.
- Kids 6 and under ski free! Plus, children 17 and under and seniors 65 or older receive special pricing on lift tickets.
Aspen Snowmass offers a “Lift Ticket Guarantee” that makes it easy to return unused days or transfer credit to another skier. That way, if something comes up and you can’t use all the days you purchased, your money won’t go to waste!
