With an expansion of flights for winter and the addition of new service, it’s getting easier for guests to get to Aspen for the winter 2015-16 ski season. Flying to Aspen is more popular than ever because of the added flight service as well as recent renovations to the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport (ASE). During the peak winter ski season in Aspen, there are more than 200 weekly connecting and direct flights into the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport that is only three miles outside of Aspen, and it’s a very short flight from Denver International Airport (DEN) - about a half an hour.

We’ll point out the key additions and give you some travel tips for you next Aspen getaway. UNITED This season, United will have as many as 26 flights daily in and out of Aspen. The flights have been strategically times to offer the most convenience to all markets, both global and domestic. New for 2015-16, United has added an additional daily nonstop of Chicago/O’Hare (ORD), increasing its total to five daily flights from the Windy City. United has also increased its non-stop flights from Houston (IAH), LAX and San Francisco (SFO). There will be 304 flights per day from Houston, 4-5 flights per day from Los Angeles, and 1-3 flights daily from San Francisco. United will also continue to operate up to 10 daily connecting flights from Denver. Denver’s airport is one of the few in the U.S. that has flights from a number of different countries - including Australia, Canada, Germany, Iceland, Japan, Mexico, Panama and the United Kingdom.
AMERICAN AIRLINES American Airlines is adding new daily non-stop flights from Chicago/O’Hare (ORD). The new non-stop flights from Chicago will connect markets in the Midwest and Northeast, including all four New York City airports. American is also adding a third daily non-strop from Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) during the holiday season. The added flight will increase connections from the southern U.S. and South America. American’s winter service begins Dec. 17, 2015, from DFW, ORD and Los Angeles (LAX). There will now be a total of five flights daily through Jan. 4, 2016, and four flights daily from Jan. 4 through April 4. All American flights will be operated by Envoy Air/American Eagle using CRJ-700 aircraft. The CRJ-700 has a total of 65 seats, including nine First Class seats.
DELTA AIR LINES Delta will continue to offer daily non-stop service from Atlanta (ATL), a key southern hub with lots of international connections. The timing of flights from Atlanta are ideal for connections both to and from the Middle East and South America. The airline has also increased the frequency of its flights from Minneapolis-St. Paul (MSP). The Saturday-only service has been increased to five flights per week over the holidays, as well a flight on Wednesdays and another flight on Saturdays through most February and March. FLY. STAY.
