#5 FILM - The renowned Aspen FilmFest brings unique film experiences to locals and visitors alike through year-round educational and cultural programs, including ShortsFest (in the spring), summerFILMS (in the summer), FilmFest (in the autumn) and the Academy Screenings (in the winter). When you arrive in Aspen, be sure to check out what’s going on at the Wheeler Opera House is Aspen’s state-of-the-art venue for a number of arts, culture, and entertainment. The Wheeler offers a number of unique performances in all genres year-round. Located right in the middle of downtown, the Wheeler Opera House is one of Aspen’s most historic buildings. #4 THEATER - The Aspen Community Theatre and Aspen Theatre in the Park both offer compelling local drama and comedy. In the summer, enjoy Theatre in the Park. The Aspen Community Theater offers workshops and seminars for aspiring thespians.
