Elk Camp Activities at Snowmass

The Breathtaker Alpine Coaster and Snow Tubing are two fun outdoor activities that are now available during the winter months at Elk Camp in Snowmass. If you're ready for a thrill, take a ride on the Breathtaker Alpine Coaster. It zips through the forest on more than a mile of elevated track, through curves and hairpin turns, reaching speeds of up to 28 miles per hour. For those seeking a more classic mountain adventure, snow tubing is also available at The Meadows at Elk Camp.

Contact the Frias Properties Concierge Desk at (970) 429-2449 with questions or to book one of these fun outings.

Located adjacent to Elk Camp Restaurant, two-hour unlimited ride sessions can be purchased from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily beginning in late November. Rides are also available on Friday evenings as part of Ullr Nights activities. Both activities are accessible via the Elk Camp Gondola.

Guests should visit the Elk Camp Gondola Ticket Office to check-in prior to boarding the gondola. Drivers must be at least 16 years old and between 54 and 84 inches tall. Additional riders must be at least 38 inches tall. (Additional riders must be shorter than the driver. Total weight capacity is 330 lbs. in wet conditions.) All riders must sign a liability release waiver.

Snow Tubing at The Meadows at Elk Camp begins in late December and is open daily through early April, as well as during Ullr Nights festivities and other special holidays during the winter season. Enjoy multiple snow tube lanes that are easily accessible by a ski lift. Tube down, ride up! Riders must be at least 38 inches tall for snow tubing. One person per tube.
