Aspen Music Festival returns summer 2021
In-person events will be hosted from July 1 - Aug. 22, 2021. The events line-up will be posted on April 8, 2021, and tickets will go on sale May 17, 2021.
Founded during the same era as Aspen's ski areas, the Aspen Music Festival and School has brought high culture to the high country for more than seven decades. It's regarded as one of the top classical music festivals in the nation -- lauded for its concerts and educational programs for young-adult musicians -- as well as one of the favored Aspen summer activities for locals and visitors alike.
The summer season runs for eight weeks and includes more than 400 classical music events attended by more than 100,000 audience members. Events include orchestral concerts, solo and chamber music performances, opera productions, masters classes, lectures and children's programming.
Summer 2021 Information
Event organizers will announce capacities and ticket/pass protocols in early May. Due to changing public health guidelines, venue capacity and distancing requirements may change after the announcement date or throughout the summer. Please check AspenMusicFestival.com for updated information.
Aspen Music Festival grounds will be fenced for crowd management, and seating on the music lawn outside the Benedict Music Tent will require reservations to ensure social distancing.
Tickets go on sale Monday, May 17, 2021. If venue capacity restrictions are lifted, additional seats may be opened for all to purchase. Sold out events will be noted on the events calendar, and there may be opportunity to view the events online.
