Gondola and Chairlift Rides

A trip to Aspen isn't complete without taking in the views from the top of the mountain. Aspen Mountain and Snowmass run their gondolas even after the ski season ends, and both mountains offer lots of family-friendly attractions plus dining at their summits.

  • Sightseeing Passes: $39
    This pass includes: 3 days of gondola and chairlift rides (valid for 7 days), a Maroon Bells bus tour, $10 lunch credit, $5 Limelight Lounge credit, and discounts on select bike rentals and downhill mountain biking clinics.

Aspen Mountain's Silver Queen Gondola

2020 Summer Hours: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (last ride down is at 4:30 p.m.)

The gondola is open daily from June 12 through Sept. 7 and on weekends between Sept. 11 - Oct. 4.

Please note that the Sundeck Restaurant will be closed during summer 2020, with reopening scheduled for Aug. 1, 2020. There will be a grab-and-go snack station.

Attractions atop Aspen Mountain include summer hiking trails, disc golf, lawn games, yoga and meditation classes, and kids activities. Kids' shows are scheduled throughout the summer.

Snowmass's Elk Camp Gondola & Chairlift

2020 Summer Gondola Hours: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (last ride down is at 5:15 p.m.)
2020 Summer Chairlift Hours: 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. (last ride down is at 4:15 p.m.)

The gondola and chairlift are open daily from June 21 through Sept. 7 and on weekends between Sept. 11 - Oct. 4.

Snowmass's summer attractions include the Lost Forest summer adventure zone and its ever-growing Bike Park, which features gondola and chairlift access to a variety of maintained downhill mountain biking trails. (Lost Forest and Bike Park access access requires additional fee.) In addition, Elk Camp Restaurant is open for lunch and some scheduled dinners.

Take mountain adventure to a whole new level at the Lost Forest. There is a Breathtaker Alpine Coaster, Rugged Ascent Climbing Wall, Elevated Journey Hiking Trail, Maroon Vista, and Aerial Approach Disc Golf. Other activities include a three-hour Canopy Run Zipline Tour and Treeline Trail Challenge Course, both available for an additional charge.
